Sumy State University, located in Sumy city, North-East region of Ukraine, is a leading university of classical type with the III-IV accreditation level in the region. It was established in 1948 and was ranked in the Global Research University Profiles (GRUP) by Shanghai Ranking . It was also included in the almanac of world’s best universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. International students from almost 50 countries worldwide are representing their respective country .Presently, it has enrolled about 15,000 students who are pursuing pre- bachelor, bachelors and masters degrees in 51 majors & 22 fields of knowledge.

Sumy State University is one of the leading universities of Ukraine, and is a member of – Magna Charta Universitatum, International Association of Universities, European University Association, Eurasian Association of Universities and World Health Organization.

Sumy State University has its Library, which holds over 3 million books and which is also a winner of at the national level for All-Ukrainian Universities contest for “Library of the Year”. The University has full surveillance security system available at the campus, provides dining facilities within the campus, and has three different hostels for International students, with student council organizing various games.

The University is recognised by MCI and WHO, and the eligibility criteria for admission in the University is to have scored a minimum of 50% marks in PCB in Class 12th and to have scored qualifying marks in NEET.
