Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) named after N.I. Pirogov, is well known throughout the world as it is one of the oldest medical university in Russia . The University celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2016.This university is first in Russia that started admission of women for higher medical education, establish a Faculty of Pediatrics, and opened the School of Biomedicine.

In over 250 courses, over 2,000 professors are contributing in 115 departments offering seminars, lectures, and practical laboratory sessions . Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University maintains a leading position in Russian medical education by active participation in medical activities and the development of health care, constant support for scientific research and the introduction of innovations. The university has maintained a great network with the biggest Moscow State clinical hospitals. The university is offering educational programs of all levels in clinical medicine, Biomedicine, Psychology, Social work and Pharmacy, through which the University is actively involved in the development of a system of continuing professional education and the accreditation of specialists to medical activities.

In 2010, Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University was the only one amongst the medical educational centers, which received the status of a National Research University. The students can choose different sports like Basketball, swimming, volleyball, football, Hockey, etc, and have the opportunity to train in modern sporting complex.

The Library contains more than 750,000 items and more than a Million issues in a year, with the addition of Bibliographical databases in Dentistry and Medicine.

The rooms in the Hostel are well furnished, with round the clock security and all modern amenities. The students can choose the rooms between two or three seater options.
