Dentistry

The Medical Course in Dentistry is a professional one-cycle program designed to prepare students for careers as highly skilled dental practitioners. Spanning five years, the program combines rigorous biomedical training with extensive clinical practice, ensuring graduates are equipped to provide comprehensive oral healthcare.

In the early years, students build a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, histology, microbiology, and biochemistry, with a special focus on the structure and function of the oral cavity. As they progress, they study specialized disciplines such as operative dentistry, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pediatric dentistry, and periodontology.

Hands-on training is central to the curriculum. Students practice in simulation labs, learn to perform dental procedures on mannequins, and later treat real patients under the supervision of experienced faculty in university dental clinics.

Graduates receive the Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD/DDS or equivalent) degree, which qualifies them to practice as general dentists, pursue advanced specializations through residency programs, or continue into academic and research careers.
